The moment I saw Romi and Raylene on another site, I knew they were something special. Just about every aspect of them is interesting. When I finally met her, she had tons of clothes to shoot in, but I was stuck on this dress. After I took her _shopping_, we snapped these around her apartment complex. Iris Robie is a confident woman that has been through plenty, but still keeps smiling. It is unclear to me why beauty is not considered a noble quality to admire. For example, it is ok to appreciate talents such as intelligence, creativity, or athletic ability, but when you can_t take your eyes off a woman_s appearance, you run the risk of being labeled shallow. Same goes for people who strive to improve their physical appeal. I am not saying that dieting or going to gym is the exact same thing as reading a book, but in a way, aren_t they very similar? It is interesting how differently you are viewed if you pay the compliment wow, you are so smart compared to wow, you have a nice body.

You probably need a little backstory to these. They are almost 10 years old. I shot Julia Juliano when I was vaguely conceptualizing what would become Zishy. I enjoyed taking portraits of people and seeing them play up to the camera. And I also enjoyed photographing attractive women. So I started blending the two. Julia answered an ad for an edgy underwear photoshoot and she invited me over to her house in the Valley. We started shooting and her energy began compelling Julia to do more and more provocative things. She was throwing out her own ideas, ripping off clothing. I was intrigued by how enticing a woman could be as long as the results contained an element of tease and creativity. She was also honest about
the human addiction to sex. These days, it gets harder to find people like Julia. A lot of other shit has changed since 2011, but mostly I just use dark theme now on my phone. Keep wild alive.

Terri Belk was not so sure about letting me photograph her without makeup. I am usually not so sure about photographing any girl WITH makeup. My favorite flavor of beauty is natural. Terri has a lot of that, mixed with a personality that is difficult to predict. Terri can at times be the most confident and upbeat person you will ever meet. Nina Gitch has a peculiar personality. She is very talkative and does not appear to be too timid to discuss any subject. Within minutes upon meeting her, she had already confessed that she was addicted to sex. Later, I found out that she has only been with two people (one being her current boyfriend). It appears that Nina keeps him busy and most likely very satisfied. She loves to sing, has a vocal style similar to Amy Winehouse or Adele. She was kind enough to give my ears a sampling.

This is the tail, I mean, tale of a lovely Texas teen named Kelly Lamprin. I met her when I spent a few days in San Antonio. I was just about to give up hope of pulling off a shoot during my trip, when I received her email. Texas is a wonderful state, but it is not ideal for finding Zishy girls. Summer is officially here. Piper Candless and I took a short break from the Palm Springs heat and enjoyed the cool refrigerated air in her posh hacienda. Now, refrigerated air is supposed to be better, more efficient technology than _swamp_ cooling. However, there is something utterly therpgutic about a swamp cooler. Most of you will probably have no idea what I am talking about unless you have spent time in a desert climate like my childhood hometown of El Paso, Texas. The smell, sound, and feeling of moistened cool air being pumped through the vents brings me an odd sense of comfort. It_s also the perfect sedative for a siesta in the midst of a hot day. I checked the temperature in El Paso and it was just under 110 degrees Fahrenheit (43.3 Celsius) today. But global warming is still a myth, right? Right? Tomorrow we will enjoy a dip in the backyard pool.

I took Georgia Ames to a Hindu temple that I noticed off the side of the highway in Southern California. This majestic place should be serene, but is currently under construction. It takes a lot of money and ornamentation to please God, but it is a necessity before we solve that whole poverty situation. The temple_s management also has a strict no-camera policy indoors, but we were able to capture some fun shots outside. Yet another reason I will experience a beat-down after this iteration of life. Upon editing these photos, I realized how the sequence makes no sense. Why would Kelly Lamprin rub lotion on her skin only to jump into the shower shortly after? Did anyone notice this oddity before reading these notes? If you did, you deserve a badge for being hyper-observant. I certainly would have missed it. All of my attention would be drawn to this incredible girl shedding her underwear and enjoying a hot shower. The water was so warm it made Kelly_s bottom turn red. I found that to be absurdly cute. After drying off, Kelly rushed to her job at a local movie theater. Her clientele must have had no clue that they just missed the real show. BTW, a monthly subscription to Zishy costs less than a movie ticket. Just sayin_.
