Wendy Patton and I stayed at this small cabin near Lake Malibu. See, Wendy is not able to be photographed at her own place. She still lives with her slightly overbearing parents. In fact, I met her mother when she dropped off Wendy for our first rendezvous. Mom interrogated us both about what we_d be doing. I let Wendy lead the way with the answers. Apparently, we were doing a lingerie portfolio shoot. I think we achieved a bit more exciting results.

These photos of Stella Cox were taken in Portugal. No, I have never been to this lovely country. What happened is that photographer, Michael White, contacted me with a proposal. He already had Stella flying in from London, so how about he try his hand at shooting a few updates of her for Zishy? I was hesitant because I get this sort of proposal quite often. Photographers want to shoot for Zishy, but never follow through with the execution. Yes, I am willing to purchase worthy material of great girls, but the photographer will have to first do it on spec, just how I always do. There are many reasons why Jeska Vardinski does not fit alongside most Zishy models. There are even several reasons why this pictorial is not particularly shot in the usual Zishy style. One of my favorite dishes to eat in Russia is plov. Plov, pronounced plOf), is a rice pilaf with meat, carrots, onions and spices. Its absolutely delicious-tender chunks of meat, I prefer pork, fluffy rice with lots of aromatic flavors given by onions, carrots and garlic. It also has several great spices to kick it up a notch. Plov is popular because of the accessibility of its ingredients. You can always find rice. There is rarely a massive shortage of rice. You don_t need a lot of meat, just a fistful to flavor. Whitney Westgate told me that she was raised an Army Brat, which merely means that her parent(s) served in the military full-time. Military families are relocated frequently and the children grow up never having a distinct hometown. I am not sure if this had a lasting effect on Whitney, but I feel certain that she is one of the sweetest girls I have ever photographed. We took these at the VA, which is federal land right by where I live. Luckily, there were some chill MPs on duty that day.

I have a t-shirt with the letters OMAK on the front. It was given to me by a friend because I liked the design. The meaning of the letters was unimportant to me. Which is a good thing since even my friend is not certain. He did recall the OM meaning something like _observe merit_. I bring up this shirt because when I photograph a girl like Kirsten Diatta, it is hard not to recognize the merit of her character. The young women in my photographs are bold. Aside from giving their trust to a stranger, they are putting themselves out there for all to scrutinize. In a society that is quick to slut-shame and impose double standards on women_s sexuality, that takes balls. Zishy will always be home to beautiful women with balls.

Payton Demilo met me on a chilly day at the Pacific Design Center in Beverly Hills. The place is beautiful, but it is nothing compared to Payton. Taking these kinds of pictures has not garnered me a favorable reputation among all sensibilities. Some can claim that I objectify women and that I value them on a superficial level. These people would be right. I do have an obsession with a specific type of female beauty and I do enjoy what many would call perverse. However, I hardly stand alone nor am I blind to the intellectual, compassionate, and powerful sides of every human being. This is regardless if I have a lascivious appreciation for their physical bodies. I forgive you, Mr. T, but that still doesn_t make you qualified.

I find something highly erotic about a female without makeup, and I generally ask girls to prepare accordingly. But sometimes there is a communication breakdown. When I picked up Noelle Easton on this day, I could tell that she had put some time into her makeup. I would have felt like too big of a jerk to ask her to remove her truly splendid work. Choose your battles wisely, a friend once suggested. The voluptuous 18-year-old and I rolled up Topanga Canyon and found a perfect lookout point for photos. Ursa Finley is back and this time we visit the American Apparel factory in Downtown LA. On the premises, they have a large flea market or store where they finally sell their clothes at competitive prices. The only catch is that all items here are all rejects or misfires from the factory. For example, you may get a pair of panties that have an off-center crotch where the machine operator fell asleep. There are no refundsexchanges at the flea market. Ursa and I did not find anything decent to shoplift on this day. Insert sad emoticon.

Lilly Gardner and I decided to stroll around on a Saturday in the Civic Center area of San Francisco. We had fun posing as tourists in a town we are both fairly familiar with. Lilly was bashful in the 90s-style bodysuit, although she is fine shooting in underwear. Go figure. But I didn_t want to fight her on it. She_s an exceptionally good looking girl and I was just happy to get her in front of my lens. Her appetite is as big as her personality. I felt a little guilty when she complained of a tummy ache. Kim is also quite resourceful. Its always a pleasure to be around people who are enjoying themselves. This is probably why I love photographing Aysha Thoen so much. Aysha has overcome plenty of adversity in her life and still keeps on smiling. While photographing all these beautiful women, I have encountered many interesting and sometimes tragic backstories. One girl (not Aysha) witnessed her father beaten to death in front of her own eyes as a child. She became a stripper, a drug addict, and had a tendency to attach herself to abusive males. Nonetheless, her smile continues to beam bright and she has made strides to a better future for herself and the children she hopes to raise. Not sure where I am going with this. Perhaps I just want to point out that plenty of these girls inspire yours truly. Sometimes their appearance may seem vulnerable, but that seldom matches their character.
