This was shot around the holidays in small-town Texas. Dorothy Channing recommended a place that is full of country flavor, Louie Mueller Barbecue. If you have never experienced Texas barbecue, I highly recommend you put it on your bucket list. But always, always ask locals where to go. There are plenty of lackluster places in this big state as well. I don_t know if it was the slow-cooked meats, the authentic setting, or Ms. Channing, but I now find myself rethinking city life.

I was distracted by the light, nature, turtles, and pretty Jodi, I nearly got a parking ticket for letting my meter expire. But somehow, the gods were smiling on me that day and I managed to talk the lovely lady, who was at my car when we returned, out of issuing me the citation. If you don_t think you can do something, then you can_t. I always held onto the belief that I would work again with Dita Vetone. We went to Indian Rocks beach near Tampa. There was no parking and we were in a crunch for time, the sun was quickly setting. We parked in some poor bastard_s private parking spot and hoped for the best. We caught the sun, we rolled in the bleached sand, we got the shots. Dita has this half-bitchy, half-playful attitude that is lovely, half the time. With peaks this high, there are bound to be some valleys. Once we returned to the red bug, there was an angry note on the window from a deeply offended resident. Sorry, baby.
